22 Jump Street is belly-aching, mickey-taking, cinema-shaking summer comedy at its very best.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s follow up to their 2012 reboot does not shy away from its bigger sequel status. This movie, oiled with even more meta-humour, jabs with a warm bromance from the left and hooks with a corking, furious turn from Ice Cube from the right.

As the end credits splash across the screen (do wait around for those) the market value of those condominiums sitting in 23 Jump Street (along with Lord and Miller’s Hollywood cred) could not be higher.

22 Jump Street is not only the most hilarious film of this year. It’s the best comedy since 21 Jump Street.
