Facebook Twitter Pinterest WhatsApp EmailWelcome to Blended, brought to you by the South African Tourist Board. On your left is a lumbering performance from Drew Barrymore, and on your right is a clunky and drawn-out plot. At least South Africa looks pretty. Terry Crews has the time of his life as the explosively charismatic singer Nickens, popping up unexpectedly with his backing singers like day-glo Oompa-Loompas. Unfortunately, beyond this the jokes are mundane and inconsistent. The family drama is stronger in comparison, with the child actors all giving good performances, but despite a few touching moments it sinks into an embarrassingly clichéd procession of romcom tropes. Not as bad as Grown-Ups 2; not as good as The Wedding Singer. RATING: 2/5 INFORMATION CAST: Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore, Kevin Nealon, Terry Crews, Joel McHale DIRECTOR: Frank Coraci WRITER: Ivan Menchell, Clare Sera SYNOPSIS: After a bad blind date, Jim and Lauren find themselves stuck together at a family resort in South Africa, where their attraction grows as their kids benefit from the burgeoning relationship.
