Facebook Twitter Pinterest WhatsApp EmailIt might be a brave new world but we’ve definitely been here before. The humdrum minimalism of Sunshine and Alien crossed with the runny-screamy parts of Alien and Sunshine mean little is unexpected, even for very occasional horror/sci-fi fans. Pseudo-Zombies From Space! would probably be too much of a budget-accurate mouthful, but that’s where we find ourselves after a satisfyingly slow build. That is, until life is discovered and characters scream, stumble, conceal, sacrifice etc. That it never feels like we’re actually on the red planet shouldn’t matter, but when everything else is so familiar, it’s a little disappointing. In space, no one can hear you shrug. Rating: 2/5 INFORMATION CAST: Liev Schreiber, Romola Garai, Olivia Williams, Elias Koteas DIRECTOR: Ruairi Robinson WRITERS: Clive Dawson, Sydney J.
