Finding love in the modern digital age? We’ve been here before. Eight minutes of dialogue-free drama? Well, we’ve seen that before too.

Yet similarity does not equate to stunted creativity. 97% is, unsurprisingly given the concept, rather charming and delivers a clean story with flair and warmth. Director Brand manages to create a veritable sense of tension, as our lead closes in on his potential love match.

The core message of pulling one’s head out of technology and into the real world is rather on the nose, but there’s some joy to be had in watching this story unfold.
