Director Andrew Bujalski gets away from the pointless, meandering angst of his usual 20-something subjects, and moves right on with Results to those 40-somethings that kind of have it figured out, but not really.

While Results maintains much of what Bujalski’s known for in way of not quite knowing just where everyone’s heading, there’s a seeming loss of the emotionally driven bursts of motivation from which the majority of Bujalski’s usual set of character development stems from.

In taking on newer, larger narratives, Bujalski brings new things to the romcom spectrum, but loses a little from his past.

Results does what it says on the tin, though the tin’s a little odd.
