Facebook Twitter Pinterest WhatsApp EmailIt would be easy for The Fault in Our Stars to lapse into the kind of sentimental schmaltz which so often handicaps films aimed squarely at the teen audience. Instead, the story of two teenagers who fall in love after meeting at a cancer support group retains the charm, wit and heartache of the best-selling book. Director Josh Boone affords his co-stars time and space to develop a believable and poignant connection. Shailene Woodley cements her reputation as one of Hollywood’s brightest young talents, while Ansel Elgort performs with enigmatic ease. Heartfelt, sincere and altogether rather wonderful, The Fault in Our Stars will enchant audiences and leave behind very few dry eyes in its wake.
