Facebook Twitter Pinterest WhatsApp EmailLa bella Italia, La Dolce Vita – it’s all on display in this glorious Grand Tour, full of good friends and good food and, most of all, full of laughter. Brydon, and Coogan in particular, are less irritable than The Trip and it makes for a far more pleasant journey. In essence, you’re spending 100-odd minutes with a front-row seat to two of the best British comics working today making each other laugh. There are even poignant undercurrents as the pair bicker about their legacies and age, with Coogan’s recital of Hamlet’s ‘Yorick’ speech to Brydon really cutting through the quips and revealing deep affection between the pair. An unadulterated joy. Sit back, relax, and pretend you’re exploring Italy with Coogan and Brydon. There’s no better place to be. RATING: 5/5 INFORMATION CAST: Steve Coogan, Rob Brydon, Claire Keelan, Marta Barrio, Rosie Fellner DIRECTOR: Michael Winterbottom WRITER: Michael Winterbottom SYNOPSIS: Two men, six meals in six different places on a road trip around Italy.
