Facebook Twitter Pinterest WhatsApp EmailThere are elements to be applauded in this latest TMNT outing – after all, it doesn’t pretend to be anything other than family friendly fun. While the script isn’t exactly Shakespeare, there are some moments that will scoop a few rueful laughs. Shadows’ main issue lies in the fact that they probably should have cut at least half an hour of run time; an already stretched script is stretched even further to include an Ocean’s 11 inspired heist, a jarring introduction to Stephen Amell’s Casey Jones, and a severely under-used Will Arnett. They would have been better off omitting him altogether. While once again we ask ourselves why they couldn’t have just left these turtles in hibernation, you’ll still take pleasure in some throwback catchphrases and some impressive special effects.
