Night of the Living Dead meets Shaun of the Dead as the walking dead attack three bumbling Boy Scouts.

Whilst not the best zombie film of the past decade, Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse brings a lot of flair and unique comedic ideas to a tired genre, while also firing shots at the world’s biggest youth organisation and creating a cult hit.

The Scouts are lame, the zombie makeup is superb, and overly long action scenes with little direction or pacing are forgivable because of incredible slow-motion head-explosions. Scouts Guide isn’t a classic, but a 2015 cult hit.

While not the best portrayal of Scouts in mainstream media, it’s certainly the funniest and most memorable, without becoming gratuitously slapstick or ‘bullying’.
