Facebook Twitter Pinterest WhatsApp EmailNight of the Living Dead meets Shaun of the Dead as the walking dead attack three bumbling Boy Scouts. Whilst not the best zombie film of the past decade, Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse brings a lot of flair and unique comedic ideas to a tired genre, while also firing shots at the world’s biggest youth organisation and creating a cult hit. The Scouts are lame, the zombie makeup is superb, and overly long action scenes with little direction or pacing are forgivable because of incredible slow-motion head-explosions. Scouts Guide isn’t a classic, but a 2015 cult hit. While not the best portrayal of Scouts in mainstream media, it’s certainly the funniest and most memorable, without becoming gratuitously slapstick or ‘bullying’. RATING: 3/5 INFORMATION CAST: Tye Sheridan, Logan Miller, Joey Morgan DIRECTOR: Christopher Landon WRITER: Carrie Lee Wilson SYNOPSIS: Three Scouts on the eve of their last camp-out discover the true meaning of friendship when they attempt to save their town from a zombie outbreak.
